In the vast expanses of Aerion, where the shadows of a forgotten past intertwine with the threads of destiny, lies a continent as vast as it is mysterious. Here, the scars of ancient wars mark the land, and the echoes of a fallen empire resonate in the wind.
The Continent of Aerion: A World of Magic, Mystery, and Interwoven Destinies
In the vast expanses of Aerion, where the shadows of a forgotten past intertwine with the threads of destiny, lies an hourglass-shaped continent, united by the Iron Strait, which divides it into two distinct hemispheres. Here, the scars of ancient wars mark the land, and the echoes of a fallen empire resonate in the wind.
Aerion unfolds as a vast tapestry of diverse lands, bound together by magic and history. Starting in the south, we find the Draconius Desert, burning under a relentless sun, its sands hiding treasures and dangers alike. Next come the Draconids, whose volcanic lands preserve ancient traditions and host a spartan, matriarchal society.
Further north lies the only terrestrial connection: the Khazad Range, home to the subterranean kingdom of dwarves. Here, their mining and artistic skills have created a world of wonders beneath the earth. The Khazad Range stands as a bastion of dwarven culture, with tunnels and caverns concealing unimaginable secrets and riches.
As one ventures further north, the Solaria Steppes stretch out as a buffer zone and lawless area separating southern kingdoms from those in the north. Beyond this expanse lies fertile green landscapes leading to the Valleys of Gnomeheart, where invention pulses in the air.
Finally, at the northernmost reaches lies the elven kingdom, extending into perpetual snows. The Great Elendar Forest, with its trees whispering ancient secrets, rests at the heart of the continent, surrounded by vast woodlands that precede elven territory.
Races and Interwoven Destinies
In this vast stage, Aerion’s races weave their destinies. The Draconids, children of earth and fire, guard ancient traditions in their volcanic lands. The dwarves forge their future in the Khazad Range, while ingenious gnomes push the boundaries of science and magic in Gnomeheart’s valleys. The elves—once guardians of pure and vital magic—now wander scattered, seeking to reconnect with their lost heritage. Among them all are the Chimari—a race marked by mystery and transformation—bearing the weight of a turbulent past and an uncertain future.
The Legacy of the Great War
Aerion’s history is written with ink made from war and sacrifice. Over a millennium ago, a titanic conflict shook the continent to its core, redrawing borders and reshaping fates. From its ashes emerged a new order but also new mysteries and oppressions.
The Errants—almost mythical figures—move along the margins of history and legend. Their existence is whispered from generation to generation as a flicker of hope for change among those oppressed.
